For me music means fire and passion. It is a manner to express feelings. A world where you can be taken up and grab with fascination.

And especially this fascination was to propel me into the partyworld. And sometime the dream grew to be a real Dj standing behind the turntables and to inspire people with my sound.

I knew very fast that I wanted to seek my luck in the area of Trance music, because I get a gooseflesh everytime melodies interfuse the room. This music has an enourmousness power and is not just music, it's a way of living.

But all beginnings are difficult and this I realised when I started arranging the necessary implements. The lack of financial means and also the dealing with the turntables was more difficult I first thought.

At the same time I started an apprenticeship as a landscaper and when I was looking for a fitting Dj name, I thought that I could combine my hobby and my job. In this way I chose the name DJ Virens what is synonymous with sempervirens = always green semper/always, virens/green (latin: sempre verde or viridis) shortened to “virens” = green. This was the hour of birth of the green DJ.

On 31 december 2003 I had my first gig in Laufen (Switzerland). A New Year'sEve Party with ca. 500-800 guests. Over the year 2004 I could work up my expierence due to TechnoBar25(AG), the Tanzendemuecken.ch and through the former collaboration with Simon D.

For me every party, every event is a spezial experience in which I can share my love for music to other people. Music turned into an inherent part of my life and I would like to share these moments behind the turntables with as much people as possible.
